Peyton Manning’s Appearance At Nashville Bar Surprises Patrons For More Than One Reason

Super Bowl champ Peyton Manning has been known to take the stage with his country music singing buddies Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan in the past, but the former Denver Broncos quarterback has been laying low since his retirement earlier this year…until now.

Manning was in Nashville Monday to speak at a Red Cross event then made his way to Winners Bar and Grill to take in some music from Lee Brice and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay. During his visit, Manning shocked the crowd when he took the stage with the guys to sing a couple of tunes, and it was all caught on tape. Manning’s appearance was surprise enough, but when he started singing, the crowd was surprised all over again.

As you can probably imagine, Peyton is a lot more talented with a football than he is with a microphone, but he doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, the future-NFL Hall of Famer sang two songs, much to the delight of the crowd who was thrilled by the surprise. Manning’s first song, “Rocky Top”, was a tribute his alma mater followed by a cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”
