Taking on one of the biggest country music songs from 1973, this iconic vocalist shows everyone that her heart has always been in Nashville with a mesmerizing tribute to Dolly Parton.

Kelly Clarkson, the very first winner of American Idol and one of the most-awarded and beloved vocalists of her generation, took to the stage at an Albuquerque concert in 2015 and unleashed this spine-tingling rendition of “Jolene.”

Truly nobody holds a candle to Parton’s original recording of this fan-favorite song, but Clarkson comes incredibly close with this dazzling performance that sent fans reeling.

Nobody has ever questioned how Clarkson took home the inaugural win on ‘Idol’ and this performance only proves that decision was the right one to make!
