Carrie Underwood & Son Share ‘Sweet’ New Christmas Tradition

NBC

It’s been a roller coaster of a year for country star Carrie Underwood. After concluding a highly successful tour she chose to take some time off to spend with her newly-retired husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, and their son Isaiah.

With the exception of co-hosting the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley in early November, Underwood has kept a low profile in recent months. An unfortunate accident that left Underwood with a broken wrist and other injuries put the singer back in the spotlight just days after the CMA Awards. But, the injuries don’t seem to be interfering with her holiday preparations.

Underwood took to Instagram late Wednesday to show fans that even a broken wrist won’t keep her from making memories with her son. The photos shared by Underwood showed her almost-three-year-old son  sitting in a high chair decorating a Christmas cookie.  Carrie admitted in the post that she’d never made Christmas cookies before and that it will “definitely” be a new tradition.

“Made Christmas cookies with the little man today. I actually don’t think I’ve ever made Christmas cookies before but this will definitely be a new tradition in the Fisher household,” Carrie wrote. “Newsflash: Isaiah likes frosting (shocker)!”
