Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman defied all odds to become one of Hollywood’s most endearing A-list power couples to ever hit the scene, due largely in part to their unwavering commitment to one another.
The Nashville sweethearts can often be found supporting each other at award shows in their respective fields, the Australian actress cheering on Urban at the 2017 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony last night (Oct 18). The adorable couple dropped jaws on the red carpet, the country singer struggling to keep his eyes off Kidman who was donning a gorgeous floor-length velvet gown.
Typically an award ceremony, CMT made the decision to change the annual celebration into a night of hope in light of recent events that have devastated the country music community. Urban was one of the five artists honored last night alongside fellow country singers Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, and Florida Georgia Line.
“In light of what’s been happening the last month really, so many things have been happening to so many people, particularly in our community of fans and audiences, so for me, it’s all about honoring the audience,” shared Urban in an interview with CMT.
Later on in the night, Urban delivered an emotional performance of his hit “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” the romantic country ballad taking on a new meaning Wednesday night.
