Bunnie Xo Hinted at Heartbreak Hours Before Divorce News Broke
on Jun 16, 2026

Bunnie Xo, who has been married to singer Jelly Roll for nearly 10 years, may have hinted at her heartbreak before their divorce news was revealed on Monday (June 15).
Jelly Roll Filed For Divorce Last Month
On May 18, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed divorce papers from Bunnie Xo (Alisa DeFord) in Williamson County, Tennessee.
However, news of his filing was not made public until TMZ broke the news on Monday (June 15). Shortly after, People also confirmed the filing.
Fans were ultimately shocked, as the couple often declared their love for each other in public and on social media. In February, Jelly Roll thanked his wife while accepting the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Country Album, saying, “I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”
Just 15 days before Jelly Roll filed, on May 3, they were a united and happy couple as they sent Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee Ann, off to prom.
And on May 10th, she shared a sweet video of her, Bailee, and Jelly Roll with the caption, “Never believed in ever after happily ’till y’all.”
Was Bunnie XO Hinting At Heartbreak The Day Divorce News Went Public?
A few hours before TMZ reported the news of their divorce filing, Bunnie Xo shared a couple cryptic posts that hinted at heartbreak.
First she shared a video of her singing along to the Nickelback song “How You Remind Me.”
The lyrics include:
“It’s not like you didn’t know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
And it must’ve been so bad
‘Cause livin’ with me must have damn near killed you
And this is how you remind me of what I really am”
She then posted a photo on her Instagram Story of her in lingerie, and wrote, “She’s getting her sparkle back.”

Shortly after, the podcast host shared an Instagram post to her Story from the account @r.h.sin. The photo was a text message that read, “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.”

Fans have been posting supportive comments on all of her recent posts, sending love to her amid this difficult time.
If you dig a little deeper in her social media, you will find a video she postd on May 16th, two days before Jelly Roll filed for divorce.
The video featured her walking down her driveway with the caption, “I hate when my exes ruin a good shot.”
The clip later zoomed into the trash cans behind her, implying that her exes are trash. Was she trying to give us a hint?? See for yourself below.
