Carrie Underwood Crashes Guns N’ Roses’ Atlanta Set For Two Classics

Carrie Underwood showed off her rockstar side over the weekend when she made a special appearance during Guns N’ Roses’ Atlanta concert.
The country superstar surprised the packed crowd at Truist Park on Saturday, September 19th, when she joined Axl Rose and the legendary rock band onstage. The pair shared lead vocals for two of Guns N’ Roses’ biggest hits, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”
The unexpected collaboration is not the first time Underwood and Rose have shared a stage. Their first major surprise collaboration came at Stagecoach Festival in 2022, when Rose unexpectedly joined Underwood during her headlining set.
Coincidentally, they performed the same two songs that they put on display this weekend: “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City,” creating one of the festival’s most memorable crossover moments.
The partnership continued into 2023 when the rocker surprised Underwood’s fans by joining her during a March concert in Los Angeles, where they performed “Welcome to the Jungle.” Later that year, the “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer served as an opening act for Guns N’ Roses on several dates of the band’s tour.

Carrie Underwood has never been shy about her appreciation for rock music and has frequently incorporated rock covers into her performances. During the 2023 Guns N’ Roses tour, her set included Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades,” Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” and Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.”
For this most recent performance, Underwood appeared to be right at home alongside Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, and the rest of the band. Fan-captured videos showed the Oklahoma native bringing her powerful vocals to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” before returning to the stage for the show-closing “Paradise City.”
