CMT Music Awards Host Suffers Embarrassing Wardrobe Malfunction On Red Carpet

It happens to the best of us. We step outside, thinking we look good, only to discover some time later that our shirt is on inside out, we’re wearing two different shoes, or there’s a huge hole in a not-so-flattering place on our pants.
Wardrobe malfunctions happen to everybody, even country stars. But they’re almost more embarrassing for them to deal with, since they have to handle them in front of millions of people.
Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild learned that the hard way when she had a bit of a wardrobe mishap at the CMT Music Awards this year. Of course people noticed, because all eyes were on her as one of the hosts of the ceremony.
Fortunately for Fairchild, her wardrobe malfunction was only visible from certain angles. When you look at this photo of her wearing her metallic red carpet look, you won’t find anything out of place.
While Fairchild looked on point in the photos with her Little Big Town bandmates, her solo pictures revealed the flaw in her ensemble. See if you can notice it in this pair of photos.
Still don’t see it? Well Fairchild may be glad about that, since it was surely an embarrassing thing for her to suffer a wardrobe malfunction at such a big event. And when she was the host to boot!
But she ended up handling the whole thing like a champ. For those of you who didn’t notice the mishap, Fairchild surprisingly fessed up to it on Instagram and shared a photo showing what happened.
So in case you didn’t catch it from the above two photos, the culprit that caused Fairchild’s wardrobe dilemma was…a pair of Spanx!
At certain angles, Fairchild’s dress would hike up just enough to reveal the bottoms of the flesh-colored Spanx she was wearing underneath. She decided there was a perfect pun to find in that, so when she revealed her wardrobe malfunction on Instagram she wrote “spanx for everything!”

We wonder how long it took for Fairchild to notice the mishap? Spanx showing or not, we can all agree that she rocked her red carpet look!
Luckily, Fairchild didn’t have to wear that dress all night. She later changed into a sparkly, rainbow striped romper, which she wore during Little Big Town’s performance of their new single, “Summer Fever.” You can check out that performance below!
