CMT Video of the Year: Who Took Home The Top Prize?

Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini were tasked with hosting one of the biggest nights in country music – the CMT Music Awards!

Nine awards are given out, including Collaborative Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year, and Male Video of the Year.  The most highly-anticipated award, though, is Video of the Year. The nominees for the Video of the Year were announced on March 8th, and they represent some of the best of the best in country music.

Fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats all show, because it is always the last award handed out. Video of the Year had 16 initial nominees. After the first round of voting, which ended on March 27, six nominees moved on to the next round of voting. The morning of the show (April 2), the category was narrowed down to the final three nominees.

The initial nominees are as follows:

Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack, Brandy Clark & Pillbox Patti – “Bonfire at Tina’s”
Blake Shelton – “No Body”
Carrie Underwood – “Hate My Heart”
Cody Johnson – “Human”
Elle King feat. Dierks Bentley – “Worth a Shot”
Gabby Barrett – “Pick Me Up”
HARDY feat. Lainey Wilson – “wait in the truck”
Jimmie Allen – “Down Home”
Kane Brown & Katelyn Brown – “Thank God”
Keith Urban – “Wild Hearts”
Kelsea Ballerini – “HEARTFIRST”
Little Big Town – “Rich Man”
Luke Bryan – “Country On”
Luke Combs – “The Kind of Love We Make”
Morgan Wallen – “You Proof”
Walker Hayes – “AA”
