Yellowstone Is FINALLY Filming New Episodes

After a long hiatus, Cole Hauser and other members of the Yellowstone cast are finally back in Montana to start filming new episodes.

Yellowstone aired its midseason finale in January 2023. The show intended to return with new episodes later that year, but never did. 

What was the reason for the delay? For starters, there were rumors of behind-the-scenes drama connecting to series lead Kevin Costner. But Costner has tried to set the record straight, saying he’d “love” to be back on Yellowstone if they want him.

Production was also delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The cast and crew could not film any new episodes while the strikes were ongoing.

Paramount eventually announced that Yellowstone’s fifth season would be its last. However, there has been talk of a new spin-off that may follow some fan-favorite characters like Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.

While Matthew McConaughey has previously been rumored to be starring in the new series, he may step away from the project. It’s been reported that Michelle Pfeiffer might take his place as a lead of the new show.

Cole Hauser Posts Breathtaking Snapshot After Arriving In Montana

The Yellowstone cast and crew recently returned to Montana to start filming the last episodes of Season 5 (and the series in general). These new episodes will start airing in November.

Cole Hauser, who plays “bad boy” ranch hand Rip Wheeler, celebrated his long-awaited return to Montana in a post on social media. He shared a breathtaking photo of a rainbow emerging by the mountains.

“Good morning #montana I’ve missed ya old friend! If you are going to rise, you might as well shine,” Hauser wrote in the caption.
