Country Icons Share Heartfelt Tributes During Alan Jackson’s Farewell Show

Country music legend Alan Jackson delivered the final live show of his career on Saturday, June 27th.
The sold-out show brought more than 70,000 fans to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium and featured performances from Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Riley Green, Lee Ann Womack, Cody Johnson, and more.
The guest of honor performed for nearly two hours, treating fans to his greatest hits from over the decades. George Strait joined Alan on stage to sing “Murder on Music Row” and “Designated Drinker,” creating one of the most iconic collaborations in recent history.
At the end, the “Chattahoochee” singer bid an emotional farewell and waved to the crowd as he walked into retirement.
Fellow Country Stars Share Send-Off Messages Ahead Of Alan Jackson’s Final Bow
Ahead of his headlining set, titans in the music industry – from both country and beyond – shared personal messages for Alan Jackson, which were broadcast for the crowd.
Reba McEntire
A legend in her own right, Reba McEntire expressed how “proud” she is of Alan after all of these years. She shared her appreciation and said:
“Glad to get to hang out with ya, do shows with ya, and I love you with all my heart.”
Ella Langley
Country music’s fastest rising star, Ella Langley, admitted that she was “jealous of everyone” who got to see Alan’s final live show. Ella is currently on the road for her Dandelion Tour and is supporting Morgan Wallen on his I’m The Problem Tour.
She was performing at a massive show in Clemson, SC, on the same night as Alan’s farewell concert. Ella said to the icon:
“If we could have just half of the career that you’ve had, then all of our dreams would be made.”
She added:
“I’m honored that I get to even be in the time that Alan Jackson was putting out music.”
Jason Aldean
Fellow Georgia native Jason Aldean reflected on their shared roots and thanked Alan for allowing him to believe that his country music dreams were possible. He expressed:
“Congrats on a great career. I’m a huge fan, and you’ve been a huge influence of mine over the years.”
Taylor Swift
The final video message of the night was from Taylor Swift. Her appearance on the screen drew mixed reactions from the classic-country-loving crowd. She thanked Alan for the “decades of unbelievable songwriting and performances.”
Taylor revealed that her favorite song from his extensive catalog is “Drive (For Daddy Gene),” and explained:
“You paint such a picture, and you let us into the details of your life, and I know that was an example that was good for me to see at a young age.”
