The fifth celebrity was sent home on Tuesday night’s (October 6th) episode of Dancing With The Stars.

12 celebrities and their pro partners competed on Mariah Carey night, where they each danced to some of the songstress’ biggest hits.

Last week’s shocking elimination of singer Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart put every celebrity on high alert, proving just how important fan votes have become as the competition heats up.

Throughout the season, the lowest-scoring celebrity has not been the one sent home, making viewer votes a crucial part of the results. With the leaderboard and fan votes continuing to shake up the competition week after week, no couple can afford to feel safe.

In a surprising announcement, hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribiero revealed that this week’s eliminated team was…Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong. The remaining couples’ jaws dropped.

Despite having the lowest scores every week, and this week having his worst scores of the season, Guillermo Rodriguez survived elimination – proof that his fan base remains incredibly strong.

Ciara thanked her partner for being alongside her on this journey, saying she wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.

Tune in next week for Super Bowl Night. Watch the elimination below.
