Missy revealed that the tornado directly hit the family’s farm approximately 30 seconds after their son, Cole Robertson, had driven into the driveway.

Facing the imminent danger, Cole made a split-second decision that possibly saved his life.

He realized he didn’t have time to reach the family’s safe room, located on the opposite side of their property, and instead ran into the house and sought refuge in a bathtub. This decision proved crucial as the tornado’s force was strong enough to push him to the ground and uproot multiple large trees, which fell between his car and the safe room, effectively blocking the path. The aftermath revealed that had Cole attempted to reach the safe room, he likely wouldn’t have made it due to the obstacles created by the tornado’s destruction.

Photos shared by Missy Robertson on Instagram vividly capture the scale of the devastation.

Large trees are shown strewn across the ground, rooftops torn off, and debris scattered about, painting a stark picture of the tornado’s destructive power.

Miraculously, Cole emerged from the ordeal without physical harm, thanks to both his quick thinking and the protective measures taken by the family in preparing their home for such events.

At the same time, Jase Robertson, who was away in Louisiana, found himself praying for his family’s safety, unaware of the unfolding disaster at their Tennessee farm.

“What’s even more surreal is that [Jase Robertson] was praying over our meal in Louisiana and asking God for protection for our family at the exact same time: 5:52 pm. We had no idea what was happening.”

The tornado’s impact extended beyond the Robertson family, affecting their community in Columbia, Tennessee.

Reports from Maury County officials indicate significant damage to buildings and properties, leading to power outages and, tragically, the loss of at least one life and several injuries in the area, according to WSMV4 Nashville.

As the Robertsons and their neighbors begin the long process of cleanup and recovery, the family has expressed immense gratitude for the safety of their loved ones and asked for prayers for those impacted by the storm’s devastation.

“Please pray for those who are injured, missing and the families that lost loved ones…right now this mama is completely thankful for God’s mercy over one of my most valuable possessions.”
