Dolly Parton Reacts To Beyoncé’s Version Of “Jolene”

Beyoncé’s highly anticipated country album has finally arrived!

Beyoncé’s latest project, which the artist revealed was inspired by a challenging encounter within the country music community, has been generating significant buzz ever since its announcement.

The anticipation intensified when her debut single from the album, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” claimed the top spot on the country charts, marking a historic milestone for Beyoncé.

“The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me,” Beyoncé said of the project.

After Beyoncé released “Texas Hold ‘Em,” several country stars voiced their opinions.

Reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson expressed her admiration, telling Extra that she loves Beyoncé’s crossover into country music.

“The more the merrier,” she said. “I’m like, again, it’s about that storytelling. It’s just about making people feel at home…and everybody wants to feel at home.”

Dolly Parton also publicly shared her support online, declaring herself a “big fan” and expressing her excitement for the album.

“I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album! Love, Dolly.”

Additionally, Maren Morris showed support for Beyoncé’s boldness. She encouraged her to “drag them” as she called out the country music industry for ostracizing her.
