Dukes Of Hazzard Star Finds Love Again After Losing His Beloved Wife, Alicia Allain, In 2023
Actor John Schneider has remarried 17 months after the death of his wife, Alicia Allain.
John and Alicia married in July 2019, shortly after Alicia learned she had been diagnosed with cancer. Alicia bravely battled against the disease for years before she died in February 2023 at the age of 53.
“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” John said on social media after Alicia passed away.

The Dukes of Hazzard star never imagined he’d find love again after experiencing such a devastating loss. But in May 2024, he shared he was in a new relationship.
“God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who [gets] it, who understands. Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it — everything. Then, just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy Dame over there.”
Who Is John Schneider’s New Wife?
The “crazy Dame” John fell for is Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of Goodfellas star Paul Sorvino. Paul died in July 2022 at the age of 83.
John and Dee Dee found comfort in each other after their respective losses and formed a strong bond. So they decided to take their relationship to the next level by becoming husband and wife!
A press release cited by PEOPLE states that John Schneider married Dee Dee Sorvino in Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 23. The couple plans to host an official wedding celebration on August 1 at The Hollywood Museum, the place where they first met.
John also confirmed the news of their marriage in a post on his official Facebook page, writing:
“Big news big news everybody! DeeDee and I got hitched last night in Vegas! Those of you who’ve been riding shotgun with me this last year and a half or so can understand that I never dreamed that happiness would be possible again. I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think!”
He continued, “I honestly never thought I would ever laugh again… and now I laugh all the time!”
This is John’s fourth marriage. He was married to Tawny Little from 1983-1986. He married his second wife, Elvira “Elly” Castle, in 1993, and she filed for divorce in 2014. John married Alicia in 2019, and they were together until her death in 2023.
