Ella Langley Cancels Tour Stop Due To “Serious Security Threat”

Ella Langley’s concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center scheduled for Friday night (Oct. 9) has been canceled.
A statement posted to Ella Langley‘s social media pages just hours before the concert was set to start said that the show was canceled due to a “serious security threat.”
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show. This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team,” the statement read.
She followed with an apology, saying that the decision wasn’t made lightly. “I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
The BOK Center also shared a statement saying that the threat involved “the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist.”
The nature of the threat wasn’t revealed in the post, but Tulsa police told local authorities that there was a bomb threat at the venue.
“Officers said they conducted a preliminary sweep with K-9 officers and found no indication of a threat,” KOTV in Tulsa reported. They added that police said they did not advise Ella’s team to cancel the concert, indicating that the decision was made solely by Langley’s team.
