George Strait’s New Wrangler Ad Sparks Frenzy Among Country Fans

For over 30 years, two names in country music have gone hand in hand: George Strait and Wrangler jeans.
Their history probably goes back even further to before Strait became famous and known top the world as The King of Country Music. Strait is as Texas as they come and appreciates how real Texas cowboys dressed with “starched Wranglers, starched shirts and a nice hat, and nice boots.”
If you’ve ever seen him perform, that is exactly what he is wears on stage.
Professionally, Strait began working with the brand as early as 1992 when Wrangler supplied clothing for the movie Pure Country, which the country singer starred in.

In 2003, Wrangler introduced the George Strait Cowboy Cut Collection, which consisted of specialty shirts.
Eventually, the collection included jeans, which are still being sold over 20 years later.
George Strait Stars In A New Wrangler Commercial
On September 21, George Strait and Wrangler released a new commercial for the collection, now simply called the “George Strait Collection,” the line includes jeans, long leave shirts, short sleeve shirts, a front zip vest, and a quarter zip pullover.
The new ad featured Strait wearing his clothes in different Texas locations along with a voiceover:
“You know how to spot an original?” Strait asks. “They never change who they are or what they stand for. Same as true with Wrangler. We’ve been together for over 30 years. And no matter how much time goes by. no matter which way the wind blows, there they are. The style might change, but they still strike the same chord. The Wrangler George Strait Collection. Love live cowboys.”
