Employees At Gus’s Fried Chicken Talk About How The Singer’s Gift Affected Them
The general manager of Gus’s Fried Chicken, Justin Haley, spoke with KARK, a local news outlet in Little Rock, Arkansas. He shared how the event affected the restaurant on that day. He said, “I saw the post he [Jelly Roll] made, and then literally it was like 30 minutes. It didn’t take long for it to reach around [the block].”
Haley said that every table was filled, and approximately 400 people attended the event. The total bill was close to $19,000. See Below:
As you can see, Jelly Roll tipped $7,500, which is massive. Haley commented on this tip: “He blessed every employee here. He made sure that they were generously taken care of for their time and what they did here.”
The singer not only supported his fans with free food but also blessed the team that had to work extra hard to make it happen.
Shantell Miller, an employee of Gus’s, shared her thoughts about Jelly Roll’s massive tip. She stated: “A difference for me with the blessing because I’ve got bills and kids, so it definitely helped me. We don’t have a lot of people who come and do that.”
