Jason Aldean was among several artists who performed as a musical guest during the Liberty Inauguration Ball, one of three balls that took place Monday night follow Donald Trump’s inauguration.

It was announced early last week that Jason Aldean would perform at the festivities following the swearing-in of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance on Monday, January 20.
After the official ceremony, three inaugural balls took place throughout the evening. Those included are the “Commander in Chief Ball,” the “Liberty Inaugural Ball,” and the “Starlight Ball.”
The star-studded list of artists who performed throughout the day, along with Aldean, included Carrie Underwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Kid Rock, Lee Greenwood, Parker McCollum, Rascal Flatts, and more.
Aldean, who was featured in the Liberty Ball lineup, delivered a performance of his highly talked-about track “Try That In a Small Town.”
Aldean’s appearance to show his support for President Trump follows the country star’s history of vocalizing his political views, especially regarding Trump, who he considers a friend. Aldean and his wife, Brittany, even attended the Republican National Convention in July to show their support.

Aldean’s “Try That In a Small Town” has sparked a lot of controversy since its release in 2023. While some have condemned the track over the past year and a half due to its perceived political message and the accompanying music video, others have embraced it as a political anthem in response to the differing opinions surrounding it.

Nonetheless, despite the song’s past, Aldean has continued to perform it on many occasions. When he took the stage during the Liberty Ball, the crowd was on its feet, singing along to his performance.
Once the video of Aldean’s show hit the internet, fans were quick to praise the country superstar.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of yours, but this was the cherry on top, appreciate you standing tall on your beliefs,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “Excellent set! Thank you for being true to yourself and your friends, no matter the cost.”
