Jefferson White Brings Back Beloved ‘Yellowstone’ Character For ‘Marshals’ Season 2

Jefferson White is stepping back into his role as Jimmy Hurdstrom, who fans first met on the hit show Yellowstone.
While we have known for a little while that he wouldn’t reprise his role in a future spin-off set at the 6666 ranch where he worked at the end of the series. In a recent podcast, Taylor Sheridan shut down any rumor that that project would ever move forward.
“There’s never going to be [a show at the Sixes Ranch]. I would never fictionalize that ranch,” Taylor Sheridan said in an interview. “People thought that that was going to be [a thing,] but I would never do that.”
Marshals Announces Jefferson White’s Return To Yellowstone Universe
In a social media post on Wednesday (September 19), the Marshals official account shared a video of White on set alongside the caption, “Jimmy’s back on the ranch— welcome to Marshals.”
Jefferson commented, “See you real soon. Very grateful to be back in the saddle.”
According to a press release from CBS, White will reprise his role as Jimmy in a recurring role for Season 2 of the show. It is not known how many episodes White will appear in.
In a statement to CBS, White said, “I’m thrilled to dive into the world of MARSHALS and continue exploring the American West. The cast and crew are stacked full of my favorite actors and filmmakers, and I’m honored to join them. Jimmy and I have been through a lot together and I can’t wait to see what’s next for us.”

White will reunite with Luke Grimes, who he starred alongside for five seasons on Yellowstone. The last we saw of Jimmy, he was engaged to a veterinarian on the 6666 ranch and working there. It will be interesting to see what his storyline will be on Marshals.
