Kane Brown Reveals Surprising Rule His Kids Have To Follow Until They Move Out

Kane Brown has a very strict rule when it comes to his kids.
Kane and his wife, Katelyn, share three children: Kingsley (6), Kodi (4), and Krewe (1). Obviously, they’re all still very young, which means they definitely have a lot of life lessons ahead of them.
One thing in particular that Kane feels very strongly about is that he doesn’t want his kids to get tattoos.
While this may not sound unusual for a protective parent, it’s a little surprising in Kane’s case.
The reason? Well, he has multiple tattoos himself.
Kane has so many tattoos that both of his arms are completely covered, along with a large portion of his chest. He also has several smaller tattoos scattered across the rest of his body.
So you’d probably think he’d be okay with his kids getting a few tattoos someday, but that’s not the case. In a recent interview with Inked Magazine, Kane explained why.
“No, I won’t let my kids have tattoos, at least until they’re out of the house, and then I can’t really say nothing,” he said.
Why Won’t Kane Brown Let His Kids Get Tattoos?
His biggest concern is that they’ll get tattoos at a young age and end up regretting them, just like he says he did.
Kane continued, “I don’t know, I mean, I want to be the cool parent, but I also don’t want to because I know how I feel about mine. Like, I didn’t think about mine. I just started thinking about it and then I was like, ‘Whatever, just put it on my body.'”
“And then 10 years later, I’m like, ‘Meh,'” he adds.
Unfortunately for Kane, that may be a tough rule to enforce when his kids grow up. He says they are already showing an interest in tattoos, especially his oldest daughter.
“My oldest is about to be 7,” Kane says. “She just started talking about them. She’s like, ‘I love your tattoos, dad. I can’t wait to get some.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re not getting any.'”
Kane may have a few tattoos he wishes he could take back, but he doesn’t regret all of them. In fact, many of his tattoos have a special meaning and represent important moments and people in his life.
For example, his very first tattoo was his favorite Bible verse, John 3:16.
“It was my first tattoo, so I was like, it’s very innocent,” Kane said. “And yeah, it was just right. I was like, that’s what I could put on my body that means something. So that was my first one.”
Kane also shared that some of his favorite tattoos are the ones dedicated to his family. He has the names of all his children. Well, except for his son.
It’s not that Kane doesn’t want Krewe’s name tattooed on him too, but the idea of getting more just isn’t as enjoyable as it used to be.
“I still haven’t got my son’s. I don’t know. I feel like once you have a lot of tattoos, you get to the point where you hate getting tattoos,” he explains. “You love them, but you can’t stand getting them. That’s me.”
