Morgan Wallen announces the Sand In My Boots music festival

On October 17th, leading country music star Morgan Wallen announced the Sand In My Boots music festival. This three-day musical event will take over Gulf Shores, Alabama, from May 16-18, 2025.

Previously named the Hangout Festival, the gathering will get a Wallen-approved rebrand to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Sand In My Boots was inspired by Wallen’s hit song of the same name, which was released in 2021 as a part of his second studio album, Dangerous: The Double Album.

The all-ages festival is designed as “an invitation to live the Wallen way for a weekend.”

All the details for Sand In My Boots were hand-selected by Morgan Wallen

Upon the announcement of the festival, AEG Presents shared that Sand In My Boots would be “a highly curated multi-genre lineup with some of Wallen’s closest friends, favorite artists, those who have inspired him, and that he has always wanted to perform with. Every artist, activity, and experience will be handpicked by Wallen, driven by his excitement to share great music and create memories with fans, friends, family, and peers.”

The festival grounds will be built right on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores and will include experiences inspired by additional Morgan Wallen songs. Tailgate along “’98 Braves” Boulevard, grab a drink at the “7 Summers” Sandbar, or take a ride on the “Spin You Around” Ferris Wheel.
