Lynyrd Skynyrd gives Jelly Roll a heartfelt gift, Gary Rossington’s guitar.

Country music’s rising superstar Jelly Roll recently experienced an unexpected surprise during a sold-out performance that left fans in tears of joy.

It was a night filled with emotion and nostalgia as two members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlocke, joined Jelly on stage for a rendition of their classic hit “Simple Man.” The audience erupted with excitement as the first notes started to play.

They sang together and after the final chord of the song rang out, an even more touching moment happened. Johnny and Rickey had a special gift in store for Jelly Roll, a gift that would bring him to tears. They presented Jelly with one of Gary Rossington’s old guitars, a tribute to the legendary guitarist and band member who had sadly passed away earlier that year.

Johnny Van Zant told Jelly Roll and the crowd, “This is Gary’s guitar,” as Jelly Roll stood there, clearly taken back and moved by the gesture. “This is one of his guitars that his wife and his kids wanted to give you in honor of being our buddy and our friend. And this is a revival tonight,” Johnny continued.

Cheers and applause rose from the crowd who were excited to witness the gift-giving. The atmosphere was absolutely electric as fans chanted “Jelly, Jelly,” echoed through the venue.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Jelly Roll could hardly find words to express his gratitude.

His voice was filled with genuine emotion as he proudly held up the cherished guitar and said, “You’re gonna make me cry, Johnny.” It was a moment that truly touched Jelly Roll, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the hearts of all the fans in attendance.
