Morgan Wallen has claimed yet another accolade to add to his already monumental record

Morgan Wallen has proven time and time again that he is a force to be reckoned with in the country music industry. Last month, he broke a record previously held by pop superstar Taylor Swift when he became the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart this decade.

Earlier this year, his massive 36-track album, One Thing At A Time, became the longest-running #1 country album in Billboard 200 history. The record was previously held by country music icon Garth Brooks.

Now, he is breaking records across the pond.

Morgan Wallen makes country concert history in the UK

Morgan Wallen’s July 4th show at London’s Hyde Park drew 50,000 attendees and set the record for the highest attendance at a country concert ever in the United Kingdom. The Tennessee native closed the show for the annual all-genre festival, American Express presents BST Hyde Park.

This was Wallen’s first time performing at the event and simultaneously the first time a country artist had ever served as headliner. His set list contained many of his fan-favorite songs, and attendees were treated to an acoustic version of his latest single, “Lies, Lies, Lies,” which officially dropped the next day, July 5th.

A few familiar faces were in the sold-out crowd, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wife Brittany, and actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

Morgan Wallen used the record-breaking turnout to support his charitable efforts

The “Last Night” singer donated a portion of ticket sales from the Hyde Park show to his Morgan Wallen Foundation, which funds opportunities for youth to “thrive, play and create through sports and music.” In addition, the country superstar donated $20,000 to London Youth Choirs, which provides a musical outlet for disadvantaged youth.

Morgan Wallen is currently on the road for his One Night At A Time stadium tour and will perform in Florida this weekend.
