Morgan Wallen Addresses “Nonsense” Surrounding Canceled Pittsburgh Show
Morgan Wallen is responding to criticism after canceling a scheduled concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show was reportedly cut due to forecasts of severe weather that ultimately did not significantly impact the city.
Fans later expressed frustration on social media over the decision. As the backlash grew online, some attendees began questioning whether severe weather was truly the reason behind the show’s cancellation.
In a video shared to his Instagram Stories, Wallen said his team consulted with local officials and advised him to cancel the show because of expected high winds. He said he trusted that guidance and emphasized that his large concert stage could have posed a serious safety risk if severe weather had developed.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of nonsense about me that is simply not true,” Wallen said, “and I just wanted to clear the air. I think my true fans know that that’s not how I operate in general, but I had to say it.”

Morgan Wallen Shocks Fans With Piano Flip At Denver Show
The controversy comes just days after Wallen made headlines for flipping a piano onstage during a concert in Denver following technical issues with the instrument.
“Sand In My Boots” is typically one of the more subdued moments in a Morgan Wallen concert. With its reflective lyrics and melancholic tone, the song tells the story of a romance that slipped away before it had a chance to fully develop.
During both his 2025 I’m The Problem Tour and 2026 Still The Problem Tour, Wallen has incorporated an upright piano into the performance, delivering the fan-favorite ballad from behind the instrument.

Partway through the performance in Denver, Wallen stepped away from the piano and finished the song on his feet, singing much of the closing section with minimal musical accompaniment.
As he delivered the final line, “but all I brought back with me was some sand in my boots,” the singer turned toward the upright piano and walked over to it. He then shoved the instrument, causing it to tip over onto the stage.
