Oliver Anthony Sings “Simple Man”

If this man wasn’t on fire enough already, Oliver Anthony released a TikTok video covering one of the most iconic rock songs of all time, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

Sitting around a campfire with a group of folks, Mr. Anthony strums the beloved cords of “Simple Man.” Only he can be seen in the video, however, you can hear that he’s not alone and there’s others with him chatting and singing the song with him.

As the light of the fire shines off his big red beard, Anthony sang, “Momma told me, when I was young, sit beside me (oh baby), my only son. Listen closely, to what I say. And if you do this, it’ll help you, some sunny day!”

The passion in that man’s voice is off the charts. Wearing nothing more than a regular blue t-shirt and some old blue jeans, Anthony continues to represent the ordinary man in every way imaginable.
