on Jul 23, 2024
Post Malone is preparing for his debut country album, F-1 Trillion, by collaborating with some of the biggest names in country music.
His country debut, “I Had Some Help,” with Morgan Wallen, has been a major hit, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and charting on the Country Airplay charts for four weeks and counting. Riding this success, Malone recently joined Blake Shelton for another duet, “Pour Me a Drink.”
Now, Post Malone has teamed up with Luke Combs for a new track called “Guy For That.”
Malone and Combs first teased their collaboration in February, but fans got a preview on July 10 when Combs shared a snippet on Instagram with the caption “We doin’ this or what?” and tagged Post Malone.

Then, late last week, Malone and Combs were spotted filming what is speculated to be the music video for “Guy For That” on Nashville’s Broadway. They were seen on the back of a flatbed trailer truck while being filmed.
On July 22, the duo officially announced the release date for their new song.
The collaboration is set to drop on Friday, July 26. Malone announced the release date on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes video, which includes a clip from the music video filmed last week. In the video, Malone sports a white trucker hat that says “Dolly Parton Fan Club,” while Combs is wearing his signature Columbia black button-up.
“Guy For That” will be featured on Post Malone’s upcoming country album, set for release on August 16, alongside his recent collaborations with Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton. To support his new country music career, Malone will be going on tour starting September 8 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The tour includes 20 dates through September and October, with the final show scheduled for October 19 in Nashville, Tennessee.
