‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Comes To An End With “Bittersweet” Final Episode

After seven seasons, the award-winning Kelly Clarkson Show has aired its final episode.
Global superstar Kelly Clarkson announced the end of her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, in February. Originally airing in 2019, the show delivered over 1,200 episodes and earned 22 Daytime Emmy Awards. Kelly personally earned four of those trophies for Outstanding Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
The American Idol alum confirmed the news, explaining that stepping back will allow her to focus on her children. She shared an online statement that read:
“This season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she wrote. “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”

Highlights From The Final Episode Of The Kelly Clarkson Show
On Monday, August 31st, the final episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show was broadcast. In a conversation with PEOPLE, the executive producer, Alex Duda, described how they aimed to bring the show to a close. She shared:
“We just tried to make it be a celebration, especially that last episode, tried to make that be for the fans and help them help us say goodbye.”

Kelly’s Kids Join Her On Set
The finale was a celebration of the cast, crew, and fans who have made The Kelly Clarkson Show so special over the years. Of course, that included Kelly’s two children, River Rose, 12, and Remington Alexander, 10, whom she shared with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The proud mom reflected on how much her children have grown since the start of the show.
“They’re the greatest kids in the world. When we started, River was in kindergarten. She’s now about to be in middle school, crazy. My son Remington, he had his singing debut on stage with the band.”
Both Remy and River had the chance to share their favorite show memory from over the years. Remy chose two moments: talking to Jason Momoa and “singing “My Way” with the band. River told her mom, “I like watching you shine every single day.” Her response elicited a chorus of “awes” from the audience and made Kelly tear up.
“I’d Be Lyin'” Television Debut
Kelly Clarkson released her latest single, “I’d be Lyin’,” on July 17th. While she has performed it during her “Studio Sessions” residency in Las Vegas, the song has not been performed for a national audience until now. It was the episode’s final performance and closed the show with a bang.

The Most-Requested “Kellyoke” Ever
During the series finale, Kelly Clarkson took audience requests for her fan-favorite segment, “Kellyoke.” Over the years, the talented vocalist has delivered cover performances from every genre and style of music, creating a beloved tradition for the show and a way to celebrate the work of other artists.
After great demand, she covered “Golden” by Huntrix from the film KPop Demon Hunters, which she says was “the most requested Kellyoke EVER!” Upon its release in July 2025, the song became a global sensation, reaching number one on the Billboard Global 200 and topping the charts in more than 30 countries, including South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
