Riley Has Often Talked About Being A Big Alan Jackson Fan

Riley Green grew up in Alabama listening to classic and traditional country singers, including Alan Jackson!

At Stagecoach Festival in April 2026, Green revealed that “It’s 5:00 Somewhere” is on his summer playlist.

In February, Green revealed a little-known fact: he actually opened for Jackson years ago at the amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, and when they met, he was the nicest guy.

“In my lifetime, it doesn’t get any bigger than Alan Jackson for and I guess I was one of those people who thought everyone wrote their own songs until I got to place where I learned about songwriters. When I found out that Alan Jackson wrote a lot of his own songs and he even wrote a lot of them by himself, I realized how rare that was, it made me an even bigger fan.”

Green also said that he was “so honored” to be asked to participate in Jackson’s final concert because “they could have gotten anybody.”
