New Host, New Coach, New Format: ‘The Voice’ Reinvents Itself In Season 31

Big changes are coming for The Voice. Season 31, which will debut in 2027, is introducing an all-new format, an all-new coaching panel, and all-new host.
Who Is Hosting Season 31 Of The Voice?
Carson Daly has hosted Season 1-30 of The Voice and for the first time in the show’s history, he will not be at helm. Who could possibly take his place? We believe they chose the right person for the job…Keke Palmer!
Daly will stay on as a producer, though.
Palmer is currently the host of the fan-favorite game show Password, for which she has won an Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show in 2024.
She also hosts her own podcast titled Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, and has provided some of the most viral-moments in the last several years. It’s safe to say she will bring her signature flair to this hosting gig!
After participating in a viral trend on social media, where she said “This is The Voice” in different tones, Keke said, “That’s right, it’s true! I am hosting The Voice! I’ll see you guys there!”
She isn’t new to a singing competition, seeing as she was a mentor on last season of American Idol.
Who Are The Season 31 Coaches?
Season 31 will feature three coaches, as opposed to the usual four. Queen Latifah and Riley Green will return following their freshman season for Season 30.

Joe Jonas will join them, following in his brother Nick Jonas’ footsteps, who coached Seasons 18 and 20. This isn’t Joe’s first foray into the series, as he was a coach on the Australian version of the show in 2018. He has also served as a Mentor and Advisor on previous seasons in the United States.
The show announced the coaches in a fun social media where Joe posed as security letting the coaches on set, including himself!
It seems they are all already on set and filming Blind Auditions, which makes sense since two out of the four coaches of Season 30 will be on Season 31.
There Will Be A New Format
Along with a new host and new coaches, the show announced there will be a brand-new format, and technically a name change!
Season 31 will be known as The Voice: Celebrity.
According to a press release, The Voice: Celebrity will feature “actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars.”
Viewers will get to see the celebs “step outside their comfort zones and reveal new sides of themselves,” especially because of the new segments like “Voice Boot Camp,” “VIP Room,” and “Workroom.”

VIP Room: Where the celebrities watch their fellow Artists perform for the Coaches
Workroom: Where the celeb Artists “strategize, rehearse and ready themselves for the Battles.”
There is not a premiere date for The Voice Season 31, but if we go off history, the show will premiere in late February 2027, much like The Voice: Battle of Champions from early 2026.
While we wait for Season 31, Season 30, which features Queen Latifah, Riley Green, Adam Levine, and Kelly Clarkson, will premiere on September 21.
