From Nashville, Tyler Hubbard started off the performance by thanking healthcare and frontline workers. He also reflected on his experience in quarantine with COVID-19. Hubbard explained:

“When I was in quarantine with COVID-19, I got to take a good hard look at myself. Inspired by my faith in God to reunite our country, I wrote this song, and I sent it to Tim.”

Tim, wearing his iconic cowboy hat, told viewers that the song’s message “stirred” his soul. He also expressed what an “honor” it was to sing for everyone.
