Country Newcomer Zach Top Releases New Single Titled “Beer For Breakfast”
Zach Top is one of the fastest-rising country singers in the genre right now, impressing listeners with his old-school and traditional sound— with some even dubbing him the “future of country music.”
Top made a name for himself by covering hits like George Strait’s “Nobody in His Right Mind Would’ve Left Her” and Keith Whitley’s “Kentucky Bluebird.” His talent for covering country classics has even caught the attention of big names in the genre. He teamed up with Riley Green at the Watershed Festival to cover Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and recently joined Lainey Wilson at Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama, on August 8, to perform a duet rendition of Johnny Paycheck’s “Take This Job and Shove It.”
In addition to that success, he released his debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, earlier this spring. Now, Zach Top has dropped his latest single, “Beer For Breakfast.”

Officially released on Friday, August 30, Zach Top’s newest single, “Beer For Breakfast,” is a fun and lighthearted anthem with a clear message: there’s never a wrong time to crack open an ice-cold beer.
And while many true country songs dive into deep, personal stories, Zach Top wants to make sure listeners don’t overthink the meaning behind his new track. It’s all about having a good time and enjoying the simple pleasures.
“Don’t go looking for some deep message in this song,” Top said in a statement. “This is a fun-loving, country-a** way of letting people know, if they didn’t already, I like beer!! People have been loving this thing on the live shows and I hope they love the single just as much and that it puts them in the mood to pop the top on a cold one and forget about their troubles for a little while!”
“When you’re mowing the yard / Working on baby’s car / Getting your honky tonk on / To a steel guitar If you’re casting a line / Got troubles on your mind / It can help any day / As long as it ends in ‘Y’ / Beer for breakfast / Beer for lunch / Beer for supper”
