Who Won At The 2024 CMT Music Awards?

The 2024 CMT Music Awards winners were revealed on Sunday night (April 7).

Kelsea Ballerini was the sole host of the annual awards ceremony, which aired on CBS. Fans were also able to stream the ceremony on Paramount+.

Performers included Ballerini, Cody Johnson, Keith Urban, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, and many more.

The CMT Music Awards are unlike most awards ceremonies. For starters, every award is fan-voted. Secondly, the ceremony only recognizes music videos and performances, rather than individual songs, artists, or albums.

Nominees for the 2024 CMT Music Awards were announced in mid-March. Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson, and Megan Moroney tied for the most nominations, with three each.

Jelly Roll was the big winner at last year’s (2023) ceremony. He won the awards for Male Breakthrough Video of the Year, CMT Digitial-First Performance of the Year, and Male Video of the Year.

All of the above-mentioned artists, with the exception of Moroney, made it into the Top Six nominees for the coveted Video of the Year Award. The Top Three nominees were announced on the morning of the ceremony.

Last year, Kane and Katelyn Brown won Video of the Year for their romantic music video for their duet “Thank God.”
