Kelly Clarkson Surprises Miranda Lambert On Stage For An Iconic Duet

The Queen of covers, Kelly Clarkson, surprised country star Miranda Lambert onstage for an unforgettable performance of each of their biggest hits at her Colorado concert back in March 2012.

Lambert’s crowd went wild as Clarkson crossed the stage and the music for her smash hit “Stronger” began to blast through the speakers. The contrasting vocals of Lambert’s classic southern twang intertwined with Clarkson’s gospel-like bravado make for an interesting pairing that match beautifully for the energizing performance.

“She wasn’t gonna sing that y’all!” says Lambert after the song. “If I could sing like [her] I wouldn’t even talk, I’d sing everything,” jokes Lambert before rolling into her introduction of their second duet to the tune of “Gunpowder and Lead.”

“This song is all about girl power and that’s what we’re both about…that’s why we’re friends!” says Lambert before their performance of the vengeful song that will have you begging for a studio version.
