Travis Tritt’s Son Tristan Dressed Like Him In The 90s For Halloween 2017

We all have various “looks” during different decades of our lives. It’s only human nature to follow fashion trends, even if they are a bit ridiculous.

Of course, we don’t think that such trends are silly at the time. But once we look back on photos from that era, we chuckle over the clothes we wore and the way we styled our hair.

For everyday people, it’s easy to hide your fashion mistakes of the past. Celebrities don’t have it as easy, since it seems that their every little move is recorded and saved on film.

Going into the 1990s, country music experienced an influx of new artists who made their way on the scene. Dubbed “The Class of 1989,” this group included now-superstars such as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Clint Black.

One of the other members of “The Class of 1989” was Travis Tritt, the “outlaw” in the group. As was common for many male country artists during the 1990s, Travis sported a full-on mullet, complete with curls and all.

While Travis still maintains a longer hairstyle today, it’s nothing like the mullet of yesteryear. But his son, Tristan, brought that long-forgotten hairstyle back into the spotlight when he dressed as his dad for Halloween in 2017.

Rather than dress as his dad as he looks right now, Tristan decided to craft his costume after the 1990s version of his dad. He donned a perfectly styled mullet wig, a pair of large shades, a full beard, and a denim jacket with a t-shirt and pair of jeans.

We’ve got to give Tristan some credit for his costume. His resemblance to his dad is quite uncanny!

But the best part of Tristan’s costume was the prop he toted along with him. Holding a box of white rice, Tristan referenced the opening line of his dad’s song “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” when he wrote, “I got a rice cookin in the microwave.”

Travis got a kick out of the whole thing, and knew he had to show his followers. He shared a photo of Tristan’s costume, making it clear he thought it was hilarious.
