BREAKING: Donald Trump Wins 2024 Presidential Election
on Nov 05, 2024
Donald J. Trump has defeated Kamala Harris to become the 47th President of the United States.
History was made Tuesday, November 5, as republican Donald Trump became President of the United States for the second time. The vote made him only the second president in our country’s history to win another term in office after previously losing a reelection bid. He also became the oldest president ever elected at 78 years old, surpassing current president Joe Biden who was 77 when he was elected.
President Trump’s victory came after an intense months-long campaign that was unlike anything the United States had seen before, including two assassination attempts against Trump including one during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Numerous media outlets projected Trump’s win after he secured huge victories in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and Wisconsin. As of press time, Donald Trump has earned 277 electoral votes, 7 more than is needed to win. He is on track to earn 312 as he is expected to win Arizona, Michigan, and Arizona where votes are still being tallied.
Donald Trump appeared at his campaign headquarters in Palm Beach, Florida, just before 2 a.m. local time Wednesday to address his supporters.
Surrounded by his family, his running mate JD Vance and the Vance family, and other vital members of his campaign, Trump spoke to the celebrating crowd, saying:
“This is a movement like nothing we’ve ever seen before. And this was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time,” he said. “We made history for a reason tonight and the reason is going to be that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible. It’s now clear that we’ve achieved the most incredible political victory that our country has ever seen.”
He then made a promise to every American citizen that “I will fight for you, for your family, and your future. Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children, and you, deserve.”
Though she hasn’t officially conceded as of press time, democratic nominee Kamala Harris is expected to address her supporters Wednesday.
This is a developing story.
