Carrie Underwood Reflects On Her Journey To Where She Is Today
Carrie Underwood’s path to success has been nothing short of remarkable!
The former American Idol contestant and now judge reflected on her incredible journey, most recently looking back at her performance of “Bless The Broken Road.”
Underwood, who has become one of the most successful country music artists today, shared that God has been with her all along and guiding her each and every step.
The country singer shared a special journal entry she wrote during her time on Idol, where she is reminded to trust herself, no matter what critiques the judges had to share.
“I really need to just trust myself and not let anything that the judges say get me down,” Underwood wrote. “I know that I have been so blessed, and God has an amazing plan for me, whether it has to do with American Idol, or music, or animals, or whatever. I just have to believe.”
Underwood said the journal entry could have been written at any point in her life, and explains that the trajectory of her journey, both personal and professional, have been tremendously blessed.
“Twenty years later, I’m on this side of it. It’s still such a huge part of my life, and how blessed am I,” Underwood said, reflecting on the show. “I feel like that brings it all into focus and helps you just be able to enjoy it.”
