Chris Stapleton Secures Triple Crown Status After ACM Entertainer Of The Year Win
Chris Stapleton will be one of several artists honored during the 2023 ACM Honors on August 23 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. But Stapleton is receiving an award that only ten other acts have earned before.
This year, Stapleton is being recognized as a recipient of the ACM’s rare “Triple Crown” Award.
The Triple Crown Award is bestowed upon artists who win their respective new artist category, the male, female, duo, or group category, and Entertainer of the Year.
Stapleton won the ACM’s New Male Vocalist of the Year award in 2016. He also won Male Vocalist of the Year that same year. Then, he secured his Triple Crown status when he won Entertainer of the Year at the 2023 ACM Awards in May.

Who Else Has Won The Triple Crown Award From The ACM?
As mentioned previously, Stapleton is the 11th artist to receive the ACM’s Triple Crown Award. Before him, Miranda Lambert was the newest honoree, as she received the award in 2022.
The other artists who’ve qualified for the award include Merle Haggard, Barbara Mandrell, Brooks & Dunn, Mickey Gilley, The Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and Keith Urban. As you can see, Brooks & Dunn is the only duo to receive the award, and the Chicks are the only group.
If past ACM Honors ceremonies are any indication, we can expect to see some tributes to Stapleton during the ceremony. Last year, Brooks & Dunn performed Lambert’s “Kerosene” to celebrate her win. Watch that performance below.
Congratulations to Stapleton on this huge honor! He now joins a list of other extraordinary artists who’ve been honored with the ACM’s Triple Crown Award in the past.
