Ahead of her performance for the Red Kettle Kickoff, Dolly Parton announced that she would be generously donating $1 million to the Salvation Army.
Dolly Parton is set to grace the halftime stage during the Thanksgiving game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders. This marks the 27th edition of the Red Kettle Kickoff, and in anticipation of her performance, Parton made the generous announcement that she would be contributing $1 million to support the Salvation Army.

Dolly Parton will perform live at AT&T Stadium during the Thanksgiving Day game airing on CBS at 4:30 PM Eastern on 11/23/2023. The halftime performance, known as the Red Kettle Kickoff, is a significant component of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
Celebrating its 133rd year, the Red Kettle Campaign stands as the longest-running initiative of its kind. It seeks contributions to offer Christmas gifts, food, shelter, as well as assistance with rent and utilities for individuals facing hardships.
The Red Kettle Campaign is especially needed now to meet the increasing needs of millions of families living in the United States. The Salvation Army, the nation’s largest private provider of social services, will not stop working to provide Christmas gifts, food, shelter, and rent and utility assistance to millions of people struggling this holiday season and beyond — no matter the cost. Funds raised in 2022 supported services for nearly 24 million people living in America.
