Ella Langley Adds To Her Tattoo Collection
Ella Langley has added another special tattoo to her ever-growing collection, this time honoring someone who played an important role in her life.
Ella’s current collection is filled with designs that hold special meaning. Among her existing ink is a heart-on-fire tribute to Eric Church, the coordinates of her childhood home, a reference to Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” inspired by the first song she learned to play on guitar, and a pine tree representing her home state of Alabama.
Before taking the stage at Austin’s Moody Center for the first of her Texas shows last Thursday (August 13), Ella spent some time backstage adding two more meaningful designs to her collection.
Ahead of the show, Ella welcomed Utah-based fine-line tattoo artist Hannah Matthews of And You Tattoo backstage for some new ink. Hannah reportedly flew in just to create a large tattoo across the top of her forearm.
The first design, which features a small bird perched on a branch, was inspired by a portrait that hangs in her grandmother’s home.
While the singer’s grandfather gifted her his guitar after he passed, Ella’s grandmother was actually the one who first her up for piano lessons. She’s previously admitted that not sticking with it has been one of her biggest regrets. Ella also referenced her sweet grandmother in her hit song, “Loving Life Again.”
Hannah shared in a TikTok video that she also tattooed Ella’s dogs name on her wrist.
Ella is set to hit the road again on Thursday (August 20) for a show in Green Bay, Wisconsin, before making her way to North Little Rock, Arkansas, for a Saturday night performance. Next weekend, the country music star will return to her home state for two shows in Alabama.
