Hannah Harper Reacts After Winning Season 24 Of American Idol
After a thrilling season featuring tons of talented singers, Hannah Harper was crowned the winner of Season 24 of American Idol!
Season 24’s finale aired on Monday, May 11th. The three-hour episode was jam-packed with performances from the judges, special guests, former competitors, and the Top 3 contestants.
Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, and Hannah Harper were the three finalists. Midway through the finale, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that Richardson came in third place.
After many more performances, the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. Harper and McCullough stood next to each other onstage as Seacrest held the envelope containing the name of the season’s winner.
After a dramatic pause, Seacrest announced that Harper was the winner! She broke down in tears and embraced McCullough.

Not long after the finale ended, Harper took to social media to share her reaction to her win. Her message was full of joy and gratitude, as she wrote:
“What a wild, beautiful journey this has been. And somehow we’re just getting started.
Thank you to every single person who believed in me, prayed over me, voted, and helped carry this dream farther than I ever could’ve imagined. Y’all changed my life.
I’m beyond thankful for the doors the Lord has opened and for the opportunity to walk this path.”
Harper promised she’d see everyone on the road one day and teased a future tour announcement.
She ended her post by quoting Scripture:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you’ — this is the Lord’s declaration — ‘plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ — Jeremiah 29:11.”
What’s Next For Hannah Harper After Her American Idol Win?
Understandably, one of the first things fans want to know after someone wins a show like American Idol is…what’s next?
Hannah Harper answered that question in a post-win interview with On the Red Carpet. As she hinted at in her reaction post, it looks like her next move is to embark on tour.
“I knew that I was gonna hit the ground running as soon as I left here. So we’re gonna take two weeks to just chill for a little bit.”
She continued to say, “And then almost every weekend until like September, October, we’re gonna be touring…the String Cheese tour!”
