Jamey Johnson’s Tribute Performance To Alabama

Jamey Johnson took the stage during the CMT Giants TV special to deliver a special performance of “Angels Among Us” to celebrate the band. During the performance, Johnson paused his guitar playing, and the entire venue fell silent. Then, in unison, the whole audience began to sing along. This special moment even saw Teddy Gentry crying in the audience.

“Angels Among Us” was released in December 1993 from their album Cheap Seats. Randy Owen once said that the band got “hundreds of letters from all over the world saying that the song was a blessing.”
