Jason Aldean Reveals What Could Cause Him To Retire
on May 08, 2024
Does Jason Aldean plan to retire?
That was the subject of a recent conversation the country superstar had with Taste of Country. Jason Aldean has already had a career spanning three decades and shows no signs of slowing down.
The “Let Your Boys Be Country” singer started playing music when he was 14, and debuted with his first single in 2005. In the years that have passed, Aldean says he has accomplished things in his career that he never would have dreamed of doing. He shared:
“For 30 years, I’ve been doing this, and I’ve spent most of my life trying to chase the music dream and then you kind of get there, and then it’s like, ‘All right, now you’re in it, what’s next?'”
Aldean has racked up 12 ACM Awards, 2 CMA Awards, 5 Grammy Award nominations, 28 no.1 singles, and countless other accolades. However, the Georgie native says that there is still a lot more he wants to accomplish.

Jason Aldean reveals the only two reasons he would ever retire from his music career
This begs the question – would Jason Aldean ever retire? He told Taste of Country:
“I feel like if you’re a musician, I feel like this is a job that it’s hard to retire from. It’s kind of a lifer gig, you know, I may not tour as much as I tour now, but I feel like I will probably always play in some capacity.”
He elaborated and shared the two things that would have the potential to make him bring his career to an end: if fans stopped wanting to see him play, or if he was physically unable to get on stage and perform.
Jason Aldean is about to embark on the second installment of his Highway Desperado tour later this month. This extension adds another 24 stops to the 41 cities visited in 2023. The tour will feature special guests Lauren Alaina, Hailey Whitters, Chase Matthew, Austin Snell, and Dee Jay Silver.
