Vice President JD Vance Is A Father Of Three – Meet His Family
People looking back at photos and news footage from Inauguration Day have remarked how JD Vance’s kids stole the show.
Vice President Vance and his wife, Usha, married in 2014 after meeting at Yale Law School. They’ve since welcomed three children together: sons Ewan (age 7) and Vivek (age 4) and daughter Mirabel (age 3).
“My most important American dream was becoming a good husband and a good dad,” Vance said during his speech at the Republican National Convention, as quoted by TODAY. “I wanted to give my kids the things I didn’t have when I was growing up.”

The Vances have tried to keep their children out of the spotlight and don’t often share posts about them on social media. But the kids still made several appearances on Inauguration Day to witness the history-making occasion.
JD Vance’s Kids Were Front And Center When He Took The Oath Of Office On Inauguration Day
Donald Trump and JD Vance’s swearing-in ceremony was moved inside the Capitol Rotunda due to cold temperatures in Washington, D.C. Musical performers included Christopher Macchio, Lee Greenwood, and Carrie Underwood.
JD took his oath of office before Trump, and his kids were front and center during the ceremony. Usha Vance held their daughter, Mirabel, as he recited the oath. The Vances’ sons, Ewan and Vivek, stood by their side in matching blue suits.
While many people focused on Usha’s beaming smile, others felt that little Mirabel stole the show. She sucked on her thumb and looked adorable in a burgundy-colored coat. Viewers also noticed the bandages on Mirabel’s fingers, which appeared to feature characters from the children’s cartoon Bluey.
Later, Ewan endeared himself to millions of Americans when he was photographed looking a little tired at the Presidential Parade at Capital One Arena. His brother, Vivek, stood by his side, followed by Usha, who was holding Mirabel. Vivek was also seen carrying around a teddy bear.
