What Is The Invictus Games?

Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, started the Invictus Games after he returned from deployment in Afghanistan.

Upon his return, he watched as “the coffin of a Danish Soldier was loaded aboard for repatriation, alongside three injured British soldiers.”

According to the Invictus Games website, Prince Harry started the games because:

“That moment had a profound impact on him and, following a visit to the US Warrior Games in 2013, he was inspired to create the international Invictus Games to celebrate the unconquered human spirit, and shine a spotlight on these men and women who served.”

The foundation hosts an annual games event and provides a wide range of support, including sports, esports, adventurous challenges, employment, volunteering, speaking opportunities, and more.

The 2025 Invictus Games will be held in Canada on February 8-16.

Jelly Roll Gives Prince Harry His First “Tattoo”

Jelly Roll and Prince Harry collaborated in a hilarious promotional video for the Invictus Games. In the video, they introduce Jelly Roll as a performer for the 2025 Invictus Games. The way they announce it will leave you in stitches.

The two brought out their best acting skills with a short sketch.

It opens with Prince Harry waiting for a late Jelly Roll. When the singer finally enters the scene, he is wearing a glove to give the Prince a tattoo.

Prince Harry saw the glove and said, “Why are you wearing your gloves?”

Jelly Roll responded, “We’re giving you a tattoo about the Invictus Games, right?”

Prince Harry countered, “Uh, no, I came here to ask you to do the Invictus Games. There’s no tattoo in this. I can’t get a tattoo.”

After some time they made a “deal.” If the Prince allowed the singer to give him a tattoo, Jelly Roll would play the games.

The Prince agreed to the “deal” but wanted to put it on his “A**” so no one would see it. Jelly Roll insisted he put it on his neck.

They then joke about how Jelly Roll has “practically” given a tattoo before. When asked if he had ever actually tattooed someone, Jelly Roll quipped, “What? Practically. Pretty much. Trust me, man, you wouldn’t want anybody else doing this but me.”

After a brief display of fake tattooing and playful acting, the artist reveals the “tattoo.”

Instead of being about the games, it says, “I AM JELLY ROLL, ” which plays on the Invictus Games motto, “I AM.” The motto is based on the William Ernest Henley poem Invictus. The two lines of the poem that inspired the motto read, “I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.”
