Justin Moore Steps Away From Touring
On June 8, country singer Justin Moore shared that he would be stepping away from touring.
Moore was performing on Riley Green’s Cowboy As It Gets Tour, but announced he would be cancelling his scheduled appearances at the time. The tour is expected to continue through the summer, with dates running into August.
The “Til My Last Day” singer took to social media to reveal he would be taking some time off to focus on his health.
Then, on July 7, Moore announced his return by sharing a video of himself walking onstage. Alongside the clip, he wrote, “See y’all on the road soon!” The video ended with a list of Moore’s upcoming tour dates.
Moore’s website shows that he’ll also be singing at a number of upcoming festivals, including the National Cherry Festival, Country Jam USA 2026, and the Born & Raised Music Festival, among others.
Justin Moore Opens Up About His Sobriety Journey Thus Far
In a recent video captured by Whiskey Riff, Moore announced he was in rehab and is now sober. He then explained that he has been “in rehab for 30 days.”
“God has given me so much between my wife and our four awesome kids and my family, a career like this. And so I’m trying, from this point forward, to use my platform even further than I ever have,” he shared. “My drinking got out of control. I let down my band and my crew and, most importantly, God, my family.”
Earlier this week, Moore, who co-hosts the Morning Mayhem radio show on Arkansas’ 103.7 The Buzz, also shared updates with listeners in his home state.
He explained that the COVID pandemic is what first started him down an unhealthy path: “It screwed me up, man, the stress and pressure and anxiety from worrying about paying my crew and band. It’s not an excuse, I’m just telling you what the reasons for me are.”
After that, he realized he was facing a battle he could no longer fight alone.
“I just got in a vicious cycle that I could not break out of, and thought I could do it on my own, tried that for a while, and realized, ‘You know what? That’s not working very good.’ So I just came home one night from off the road and told Kate, ‘I gotta go. I gotta do something, because this is not who I want to be, it’s not who I am as a person, and I’m just not happy with myself.’”
Moore and his wife, Kate, share four children together. Moore explains that everyone in his life has been incredibly supportive and his ultimate reason for getting healthy.
We’re so happy to see Justin Moore doing well and back out on the road!
