Justin Moore Returns To Touring From Rehab, Reveals He Is 31 Days Sober

Country singer Justin Moore has returned to the stage after taking a break from touring to “focus on [his] health.”
Justin Announced He Would Be Stepping Away From Touring On June 8
Six shows into his stint opening for Riley Green on his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, Justin Moore announced he would be “stepping away from touring.”
His statement read, “I’ve made the decision to take some time to focus on my health. As a result, I’ll be stepping away from touring for a short period and will be unable to perform some upcoming shows. This is the right decision for me and my family, and I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. I look forward to getting back out there later this summer and doing what I love most.”
He received so much love from his fans and his fellow country singers, who said they were all rooting for him and will be waiting for when he was ready to come back.
Moore’s announcement came just a few weeks after another country singer, Jake Worthington, announced he’d be taking some time for focus on his health, making him the seventh country singer to take a break from touring this year alone.
On July 7th, Moore Announced His Return To Touring
The “Small Town USA” singer ended his social media break with a video of him seemingly walking out to a stage, with the caption, “See y’all on the road soon!”
The song he used was LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” which features the lyrics, “Don’t call it a comeback.”
The video then listed his upcoming tour dates, including going back on the road with Green!
His first show back was just two days after his post, on July 9th, in Knoxville, Illinois.
In a video captured by Whiskey Riff, Moore announced he was in rehab and is now sober.
“God has given me so much between my wife and our four awesome kids and my family, a career like this. And so I’m trying, from this point forward, to use my platform even further than I ever have,” he said in the mic. “My drinking got out of control. I let down my band and my crew and, most importantly, God, my family.”
Moore continued, “I got a really good buddy who went through this as well, and he always says…that he’s allergic to booze because he breaks out in handcuffs. Fortunately, I didn’t do that. I just became a complete dumbass.”
Then, he revealed where he had been for the last month, saying, “I just got out of rehab for 30 days, this is my 31st day sober, and I’m gonna try to help as many people from this point forward ’til my last days on earth, and hopefully set a much better example for my kiddos.”
He said all this as an introduction for his song “Outlaws Like Me.”
We’re so happy to see Justin is healthy, has a new outlook on life and will be spreading his new message far and wide. Good for him!
