During the March 22nd episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Emmy-winning host Kelly Clarkson had Oscar winner Anne Hathaway as a guest. Hathaway is currently promoting her new Apple TV+ show WeCrashed, which is about the couple who is behind the co-working space, WeWork. The series co-stars Oscar winner Jared Leto.

Kelly interviewed Anne about the show, and Anne showed her a genius way to enjoy cupcakes, but out favorite part of their time together was when they played a gamed called “Sing That Name That Tune.” American Ninja Warrior host Matt Iseman came out to host this game for Kelly.

The rules were simple: Kelly’s band would be playing a couple seconds of a popular song and if you knew the song, you had to step forward on your podium, which would light up bright pink, and sing the song to get a point.

The first song, Kelly knew the title of it, but none of the lyrics! Anne stepped forward to sing a few lyrics from Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.” She got a point! Next, the band began playing Hanson’s “MMM Bop,” but Kelly claims she had never heard the song. Anne sand the lyrics, with conviction, to Kelly and got an extra point for her confidence!

Kelly begged, “Can you play a freaking song I’ll know!”

And the band obliged. They played only few seconds of the drum intro, which gave Anne all she need to know what song it was, Kelly Clarkson’s own “Since U Been Gone.”

With confidence, once again, Anne stepped forward and belted the chorus to Kelly’s hit 2004 song. Immediately, Kelly fell down in embarrassment. Kelly was in absolute shock that Anne guessed the song after only hearing the drums!

They played one more round, which turned into a David Bowie/Queen and Vanilla Ice mashup! Anne started singing David Bowie and Queen’s “Under Pressure,” while Kelly started rapping “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice, which samples the music from “Under Pressure.” We’d buy that mashup!
