This summer, the 2024 Summer Olympics will be taking place in Paris, France.

Since the last Olympics, and even before, athletes all over the world have been training to represent their countries on the biggest stage in sport, the Olympics. The biggest event at the Olympics is the opening ceremony. Every country walks out together and there are multiple performances, and of course, the Olympic flame is lit.

This year, the Opening Ceremony is being hosted by three larger-than-life personalities.

Kelly Clarkson, Peyton Manning, and Mike Tirico stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (March 12). Even the host was confused why the three were there together. That is, until they revealed the exciting news that they are all hosting the Opening Ceremony at the Summer Olympics!

“What a fun and unexpected trio,” Fallon said to them.

Tirico, NBC’s Sunday Night Football play-by-play announcer, joked that since Manning has previously hosted the CMA Awards, and Clarkson is a great singer, they were all announcing an album together.

“I’m so glad we can say it!” Clarkson said. “We’ve been holding onto this [forever]. I’m not a vault! I hate secrets!”

Fallon then showed off the Gold medals that will be given out and Tirico added that each medal – Gold, Silver, and Bronze, all have a small piece of the Eiffel Tower in them. They also revealed that the opening ceremony will be held on The Seine River, a nearly 800-killometer river in northern France.

After the announcement, Fallon had some fun questions for the trio.

He asked them if they were to win a medal or award in anything, what would it be in? See their responses below.

Manning: Event Planning
Tirico: Traveling
Clarkson: Legos

In fact, Clarkson touted, “I am the Simone Biles of Legos.”

Tirico then invited Fallon to Paris to host the Closing Ceremonies with him.

Fallon, thinking it was a joke, said, “I’m in!”

The Opening Ceremony will be on July 26 on NBC. We can’t wait!
