A Star-Studded Affair
Many celebrities attended the 35th Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala on Friday, May 3, at the Louisville home of Patricia Barnstable Brown.
The gala, which serves as an annual charity fundraiser for the University of Kentucky’s Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, was held the night before the famous Kentucky Derby.
Notably, Kid Rock and Travis Tritt were in attendance, and they even took the stage to perform Rock’s 2007 hit “All Summer Long,” a big rock and roll mashup of two hit rock songs from the 1970s.
Country legend Wynonna Judd also graced the occasion by singing the National Anthem at the 150th Kentucky Derby.
Special Moments
Country music icon Travis Tritt expressed his gratitude, saying, “We have been fortunate to be guests of the Barnstable Brown party for more than 20 years. To be here for the 150th Kentucky Derby is incredibly special and we are so happy to be a part.”
Adding to the specialness, Tritt’s 26-year-old daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt, not only attended as a guest but also performed, fulfilling a long-held dream.
“I have been begging my parents to bring me for years, and finally, I am here and not only as a guest, but I get to perform,” Tritt said “I am a little nervous but really excited.”
A Must-Attend Event
First held in 1989, this invite-only event has become a staple for those attending the Kentucky Derby and those fortunate enough to secure an invitation.
As the 35th year of the Barnstable Brown “house party” unfolded, it attracted an eclectic mix of award-winning musicians, entertainment celebrities, and professional athletes to the city of Louisville.
During the prestigious occasion, Travis Tritt and Kid Rock took the stage together, delivering an electrifying performance of “All Summer Long.”
After their appearance at the Barnstable Brown Gala, Tritt shared his gratitude for the opportunity to perform alongside Kid Rock on his social media platforms.
