Lainey Wilson Loses Her Head In Quirky New Music Video For “Phone, Keys, Wallet”

When Lainey Wilson teased her music video for “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” fans had no idea what to expect. Now that the video is out, it seems safe to say that no one could have predicted what happens!
Wilson dropped the “Phone, Keys, Wallet” video on September 25. She released the song back in June, featuring John Mayer on guitar.
The track is a somewhat comical ode to Wilson’s husband, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, as she sings about him being one of her “essentials” that she’d be lost without. Some of the lyrics go:
“Boy, you know I’d lose my head
If it wasn’t attached, got a couple screws loose
Be up a creek if I ever forget
What keeps the ground underneath my two boots
I’d be outta luck lost if I ever up and lose
Yeah, Jesus, Jones, Mama
My phone, keys, wallet, and you.”
Wilson fully leaned into the song’s semi-humorous tone while filming the music video. The quirky clip follows the CMA Awards host as she literally “loses her head” while frantically searching for her phone and keys.
Wilson’s head and body move apart from each other for most of the video. Her head finds itself in some pretty odd spots, popping through the top of the car, chilling in the fridge, turning on a record player, and rolling down a hill into a body of water.
One of the funniest moments comes when Wilson’s adorable French Bulldog, Hippie Mae, walks up to her head on the couch. Hippie starts licking her face, and Wilson can’t do anything to stop her.
Since the music video was beyond fans’ wildest dreams, their reactions were quite amusing. Some of the comments on Wilson’s Instagram post about it read:
